Franchise Description

Profile ImageMikes has been a franchisor for over 35 years. We currently have 118 restaurants in the East Coast of Canada, owned and operate by 100 independent franchisees.

Our positioning is clear and detailed and representative of the franchisees` commitment to their customers. As franchisor, we pride ourselves on the interaction and the cohesiveness of our chain. We are an experienced and dynamic team rooted in proven methods.

With numerous restaurant openings this year, we are confidant with our expansion program for years to come. We are also expanding to the US, with franchise opportunities in Utah, Nevada and Arizona.

Our growth strategy is rapid but orderly, by directly being involved in the development phase. We conduct site feasibility reports using selection analysis and market research reports. We also negotiate landlord deals and oversee the construction phase.

Training & Support

Support ImageMikes training program is comprised of opening training and continual marketing, operational and HR support. Each new franchise is trained for a period of 8 weeks.

Mikes is also responsible for training all staff both dining room staff and kitchen personnel. The pre-opening training is 15 days prior to the opening for all employees.

Each training team dispatched included 3 kitchen and 3 dining room trainers, with one overall opening manager. The opening team oversees the first two-four weeks of operations before turning the store over to the operation support.

Each restaurant is designated a territory manager which visits the store once a month. Twice a year, each franchise is inspected with a quality, service, consistency and cleanliness report based on the overall performance of that restaurant.

We currently serve all our major markets with TV, radio and billboards. We also focus heavily on local-restaurant marketing and advertising in smaller rural towns.
