As a Town Planner Franchisee or ‘publisher’ you will be provided with a protected territory of approximately 75,000 homes. You will be developing calendars for each postal zone or ‘community’ which usually consists of 10,000 homes. Meaning that as a Town Planner Franchisee you will be producing 7-10 calendars with information specific to each postal zone. Your calendars will include local events and money saving coupons from local advertisers.
You will be going out into your community to find Advertisers, and information about local events with sales training from Town Planner’s head office.
You will be provided with the calendar artwork, and template – so No Publising Experience is Required.
Dedicated Training and Support including a 3yr Mentoring Program
 As a Town Planner Franchisee you will undergo an extensive training program designed to set you on your way to success.
Initial training includes an all expenses paid, 4 day stay at the Town Planner corporate office in Cleveland, Ohio. Transportation to and from Cleveland will not be covered. This initial training will include basic sales training and a record keeping & accounting system.
The 3yr mentoring program includes specific training and support for those new to the business. There will be dedicated conference calls for Franchisee’s with less than 3yrs, monthly. This will help you to get to know other Town Planner Franchisees/Publishers, and to answer any questions you may have about the business.
At any time you can request help from your trainer or fellow publishers.
There is a National Conference held in the first quarter of each year for all publishers to get ready for the new season.
