 Mary Ellen Sheets founded Two Men And A Truck International Inc. in 1985 after her two high-school-age sons left their small moving business behind to attend college. Calls had continued to come in for moving services after their departure, so Sheets took over the business and began franchising in 1989.
The company is still family-owned and privately held and more than 180 franchise locations operating in Canada and the United States.
Two Men And A Truck is the first and largest local moving franchise system in North America. Our franchises offer customers a comprehensive array of moving services — whether it's moving one appliance, an entire household or a business. Locations also offer packing and unpacking services in addition to selling boxes and an array of packing supplies.

Training with Two Men And A Truck is extensive and ongoing. It begins with an initial three-month period, including comprehensive classroom training at STICK MEN UNIVERSITY (a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to moving in Lansing, Mich.) and thorough assistance during the franchise set-up and opening.
There are also ongoing monthly training sessions at STICK MEN UNIVERSITY® for franchisees and employees. There are many other tools available to franchisees including detailed monthly reports, intranet, annual meetings, a resource library, professional marketing materials and system-wide purchasing programs.
